About
What better way is there, to be able to freeze time than to take a picture?
That was one of my thoughts when i started taking pictures in 2019, and i bought my first camera (which i still have and use) and began, in my oppinion, a very steep learningcurve towards being a better photographer.
When i started out, my camera was always on Auto-mode, but as time went by, I discovered the ability to take better pictures using the other functions on my camera. Now i never use Auto-mode.
My journey up the learningcurve is still very steep, and there's a lot of elements like composition, lighting etc. I need to learn. Or just taking a picture with a straight horizon. Telling a story with my pictures. Taking pictures that are'nt blurry. But Im dedicated and I try.
I'm still taking pictures that are blurry, under-exposed or over-exposed. Pictures af a dog where the tip of the tail is'nt in the picture or where the horizon is defenitly not straight, but I think im getting better and better at it.
My gear is not that sofisticated, but since Im still learning i'd rather use this than buying a very expensive camera and lenses. That will come one day, and Im sure that my pictures will be better at that time.
As of March 20, 2021 I am using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8 L IS II USM lense, a Sigma 150-600mm F/5,0-6,3 DG OS HSM lense, and then i use Lightroom for post-production.

You can see that I have a lot of photos of dogs. That's my other big passion. Training and competing with my dog Kira.
She is almost 5 years old and a trained civilian police dog, and we compete in practical police dog exercises like tracking and finding people or things.
My work with Kira is like therapy for me. After a long day at work, it's amazing to get out in the open and work with her.
Just like photography, training a dog is repetition - try, try, try and eventually its right where it's supposed to be.
